Peace begins with responsibility for oneself.To live consciously, to think clearly, and to act from love rather than fear.
01 / THE IDEA
Peace as
a skill.
A culture of peace is not an ideology and not a slogan. It is a skill of inner state.
It involves the nervous system: how we respond to stress, process emotions and direct our attention. In everyday life, a culture of peace means:
- The ability to live without an inner war with oneself, one’s emotions, fears and body.
- The capacity to avoid turning differences into conflict within families, societies and cultures.
- The skill of conscious choice instead of automatic reactions of aggression, defence or suppression.
- Respect for life, one’s own and that of others, without moralising.
Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change in response to experience. Repetition, focused practice and meaningful experience help us learn and strengthen skills.
Music as a Skill of Peace
Rhythm, tempo, dynamics, repetition, voice, movement and conscious listening: music therapy uses these tools in a structured way to work with attention, emotional expression and self-regulation. For the Foundation, the connection is through cultural and educational work: listening, singing, movement and making music together.
A culture of peace arises when a person learns to live in harmony with themselves and stops fighting life.

8 AUGUST 2026 / SABVI
Karaoke. Music. An afternoon together.
The Foundation provided and operated karaoke and sound equipment free of charge for the Seychelles Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired’s social gathering in Bel Air.
Inclusion through music
Together with Doctor Music Seychelles, the Foundation contributed music-based interaction and community participation activities to the Global Accessibility Awareness Day programme at the Office of the First Lady.
Little Artists: Seychelles Treasures
The Foundation and Art Studio Mosaic Kalibri delivered Roman mosaic workshops, documented in an activity record signed and stamped by Seychelles National Library.

Our manifesto sets out the principles behind this approach: awareness, freedom with responsibility and respect for human dignity. The declaration is a voluntary expression of that personal choice.
And if peace begins with the human being, I allow it to begin with me.
